Document history
Major windblow events are rare and their frequency, scale and location are unpredictable. However, research suggests that the incidence of severe storms in the UK has been increasing over the last few decades and will continue to do so as our climate warms.
This plan considers:
- Preparation
To advise on mitigating actions before a potentially major windblow event - Response
To ensure national, regional, and local forest sector responses are co-ordinated effectively - Recovery
To enable a longer-term strategic response at the sectoral level
